In his 12 years in business, Kirk Brown, owner of Kirk’s Lawn Care in Spring City, Pennsylvania, has developed five key strategies to keep his business thriving.

From using technology to enhance communication and going above and beyond to give back to his community, Brown says he feels he has found his niche.

He says his first key to success is innovation and trying to stay ahead of the game with technology.

“It’s to help enhance the customer business relationship – not to take the place of it,” Brown says. “Anything that could help speed up the process of me returning phone calls or acquiring information sooner is something that I always think of as being a .”

Going hand-in-hand with innovation is communication. Communicating with customers is a big priority for Brown and his team.

“I try to be as transparent as possible and to keep them as involved in the business as we possibly can,” Brown says. “That not only helps us upsell services, but helps us maintain relationships and keep customers around longer.”
