The third video of the Propane Education & Research Council’s “” video series takes a look at the full-service lawn maintenance company, Bozeman Site Services.
Owner and CEO Doug Duschene converted his company’s fleet of Scag ride-on mowers in 2014, as he wanted to reduce the business’s carbon footprint. Aside from reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the switch also improved employee efficiency and cut costs.
The fuel cost savings in the first year were so drastic that Duschene believed there was a mistake in the numbers.
While originally intimidated by the concept of switching fuels, the employees found that the conversion process was simple and operators say they enjoy working with propane mowers over gas-powered models. According to Bozeman Site Services, customers seek them out now because of their lower-emission models. Check out the testimony below.
