One Wisconsin homeowner is turning people’s opinions about trees upside down, literally.
After seeing this idea on a trip to Alaska, Bill Lanzel figured out a way to reuse dead trees, according to the .
Lanzel has been planting trees upside down as works of art in his yard.
The trees feature petunias, coleus, bacopa, impatiens and double bells, which has a lot of neighbors turning their heads.
After uprooting the dead trees in his own yard, he was able to use the root source as bedding for the plants on the top of the piece of art.
After planting the trees 5 feet into the ground, Lanzel began adding flowers and different vegetation to the “tree garden.”
